Bike Cam or Helmet Cam?

Egleaves, if your problem is transmitting Bluetooth, you could try a solution like this https://www.jaycar.com.au/bluetooth-audi...s/p/AA2104
I had a smaller version that I used as a receiver on the bike and it was excellent.

The K1 that I previously looked into has been discontinued and replaced by the new K2 that claims to have better cameras, better DVR, and they've worked out some serious bugs from the K1. All around build quality and image quality are reported to be improved from the original. I pre-ordered it 2 or 3 months ago and now it's so close I can taste it. Having two bikes i went for the helmet cam and just ordered a contour roam 3 HD waterproof 1080p hd action camera , should do a descent job

i will be following this conversation closely...I need to finally get a cam as well but i'm a pretty extreme tight wad about these things. cameras like the Roam 3 and your standard Gopro Hero are certainly exactly what I need, but i just can't bring myself to pay 3 digits for them. does anybody know of a source for used action cams?

I agree ! if you ever see me buy anything just know i never pay full price
