Not an actual sputter as others reported with earlier bikes, but it doesn’t “fuel” cleanly or with linearity. I don’t know if this is a result of the retarded cam timing on cylinders 1 and 2, or if it just running lean. Either way it’s not ideal.
My 2017 EX hates to be driven slowly. Probably because she spends most of her time at highway speeds. When I do drive in the city coming home she balks to go faster and pops the mufflers to show her displeasure. I guess she recognizes when our day rides are over.

The next time I rode, it definitely sputtered at low rpms and like NHCB, I was a little perturbed. I needed fuel so I added half a bottle of additive and topped of the tank. I rode it for a few miles after fill up and don't remember if it sputtered. I am assuming not as I didn't notice it. I'm off-isle now so can't go check, but will try tomorrow. Crappy gas in the NE ?
Mine occasionally runs rough when moving around at walking speed...about 1200 rpm in 1st. Sometimes starts loping or missing and then clears up.
Occasionally it has stalled when starting from a stop. Not luggin it, just flips off like it was killed.
This isn't enough of a problem yet to research. Mostly it runs fine; electrical gremlins...you can't kill them; you can only contain them and keep them to a minimum. Like rats and mice.

My new 2014 seems to have a bog if I’m downshifting and blip the throttle,I thought the gas was crap so I filled up with fresh gas, bike doesn’t have 100 miles, but it’s definitely a very minor bog. I’ll try the throttle twist trick to see if it does anything.

Also try about 6 oz of Seafoam in your next tank, and run it through the tank.

Mine is RS 2017 with Moto Gears header, BMS muffler, considered as full system exhaust, KN filter. Lots of poping sound and holding back feeling, hesitation when twisting throttle...but all gone once i have ZFI Bazzar on. Now it's smooth and responsive. The popping sound is gone, just some minor when sudden deceleration. You should take a look at this. (BTW, the ZFI Bazzar has it's own sensor eliminators)

I love my Cb or at least used to, I think its the most beautiful bike I have seen and I love every thing about it. But Riding slow, like through town or city in traffic steady speed up to 30 miles an hour or so drives me absolutely crazy. It sputters, lightly pops, and feels like something is holding it back. It makes me hate the bike. The bike has a Yoshi slip on, K&N and I did the pairs block. I have tried the throttle twist trick several times. I have sent my ecu to Don twice with no better results, if anything worse. To be honest I noticed no difference in pefromance either, so I feel like I threw that money away. I really didnt send it to him for power gain anyway, just wanted to smooth out the bike. Im thinking about buying a pcv now, but dont know if that will override what Don did or not, Im hoping it does. But I am reluctank to do so as I dont want to keep throwing money at the same problem, I really cant afford to do so. Does anyone have any ideas?

The O2 sensor eliminator worked perfectly to rectify this issue for me. So perfectly that I pretty much forgot I had installed one on my bike — until this thread was revived, lol.

That would be my first option to try as well, Guth.
Have you ever tried to run the bike with the o2 sensor disconnected and no eliminator installed to see what happened?

No. Like PowerDubs, I've always assumed the bike would throw an error if I did so.

Reading some of these post makes me happy that I did not mess around with the engines on my CB 's .
They perform good enough for me !
