Another lousy night. Getting up to use the restroom requires my wifes help and a lot of unbearable knee pain. I resolved to stay in bed all day today, but wife isnt having that, so sitting in living room on some cushions on a hard chair she can tilt to get me up rather than having to lift me out. Have a call into orthopedic doc to see if he can see me and figure this out. Knees were fine Wed, Thur and Fri then Sat, Sun and today, a lot of pain, cant sit, stand or walk. Really POd at ER we went to yesterday. They were less than helpful. Didnt even care that I was in extreme pain. We dont see anything wrong and we are not going to search for anything wrong so heres an oxicodone, now go home and suffer.

sad hearing this ferret . reading Dubs update and now this I am considering selling my CB " again " and barber my last huray .
fishing is something you may consider as i go about twice a week beside my house mostly - fun , safe and if you like fresh fish it is rewarding.

I'm surprised they even gave you a oxycodone with this opiod epidemic .....there's going to be a lot of people suffer that really do need pain relief.

I had an ortho doctor blow me off twice thinking I was drug shopping.

I understand they can't see pain but she let me walk out the door under some serious pain.

Went to my GP and he called it both times ...first time it was gout second time was bursitis. Anti-inflammatories fixed the first one steroid shot fixed the second one.
I even told her I've got opioids at home if I wanted them they wouldn't touch this pain.

They kept trying to give me hardcore stuff and were amazed when I kept saying no.

All I’ve taken is a couple Tylenol a day, pretty much just before bed and again when I get up and am really stiff and sore.

Yea- I’m in a lot of pain. Not a big believer in drugs, too many horror stories, too many dumb commercials with a gazillion side effects.

Its not all bad news, my elbow feels like it is healing nicely. I have movement in it. Swelling is down some, heat being radiated is down some. Im not even in a hard cast.

This knee thing is confusing, but we will get it figured out. The ER was dissapointing and I intend to let them know. It was a Sunday morning and everyone seemed like an uncaring amateur. They didnt take an xray I requested, and refused to let me have an MRI. Like offroad, they sent me home in some pretty serious pain, and they didnt seem to even care.

With my colitis i havent taken ANY pain drugs in 15 months. I cant take them cause they can mess with my digestive system which has been messed up since June of last year. But this was draw a line in the sand pain, and I was willing to take ANYTHING to stop it. Funny thing is, it is having no effect at all. And as a correction the drug they prescribed was hydrocodone not oxycodone, but its still a narcotic
