Four years ago I discovered that Honda discontinued supplying the upper fork tubes for my 1998 VBFR800, at least in the USA (the chrome began pitting on one of my tubes). I found they were still available in Europe, but I actually ended up purchasing a set through Samurider. When I contacted Samurider he told me that he checked with Honda of Japan and was informed that they had ten parts in the warehouse. Since then I have discovered that many parts for my 1998 VFR800 are no longer available through Honda - throttle cables and ignition switch, just to name a few. I just purchased a new radiator for my 1981 VW Rabbit from O'Reilly automotive last month, so car parts remain available much longer than motorcycle parts.
