The EX with spokes must run a tube tire unless you seal off the spokes inside the rim. This is what makes buying tires a pain. Your 2014 must be an DLX since 2017 was the first year for the EX I believe.

I think I am going to order a rim sealing kit by Out Ex. It is almost $100 per tire, but lets you go tubless.
