CBR 600 Rims on the CB1100?
#3
I've been down this road of thought myself because I consider the RS to be the very best version of our bike that we will never get in the US.

However, the conclusion that I came to is daunting. You would need:

RS forks
RS wheels
RS brakes
RS swingarm (yea, it's different)
RS ABS system
RS wire harness (yea, the whole thing)
RS Speedo or Speedo healer

And those are just the major components. The nickel and dime list is so long it isn't even worth typing. The primary advantage of the CB1100RS over every other model is justt Handling. It handles better, which is saying something on a bike that handles as well as ours. So, if you want a better handling CB1100 that isn't an RS, a smarter move would be:

Upgrade Front suspension with progressive shocks and PD valves OR just buy some '17 model front forks.

Upgrade the rear shocks with aftermarket. Icon makes an awesome set that is as good as the RS set and stays true to the intended aesthetics.

Have a set of custom spoked 17" wheels made. At least one forum member did this with fantastic results (Chync? you around?). If you have a spoked wheel hub machined as a copy of the stock CB1100 wheel hub you can lace up 17" hoops and it will bolt right on.

This is a much better approach IMO
