Dave was just emailing me something similar. I'll rip it apart again tommorow, now that I'm confident and familiar on how it all comes apart and goes back together.
And what happens when you connect the old iacv externally ?

I gotta say a public thankyou to Dave! He has been on the email checking in with me and monitoring my progress or that the lack of for the past few weeks. He has alot of knowledge when it comes to this and his encouraging words and pictures helped me a long in ways I cant even begin to explain. I feel as though the iacv has been replaced on the bike by the previous owner. After I separated the 2 pieces of the forward air box that is connected to the penlum one of the screws that attach the intakes to the forward section of the box to the penlum was rounded or stripped. I couldn't remove it with removing the throttle body and all the other plumbing. I then took that to a local dealership to have the successfully remove the screw. Just one the of many bumps along the way that Dave talked me down off the ledge! Thanks again Dave! This is by far the best forum to belong to. Just about every bike I've had, I've belonged to a forum and this one is the best by far! The best because of the people here. The best because of those willing to share their knowledge to those of us that are rookies! Thanks! I will continue to update this when I'm able to work on it. I'll probably be searching out the replacement part for the 17 and above!
