Really high idle

Hi,

I am from Singapore and my 2014 CB1100 EX used to have low idling problem. I have replaced the IACV using 16430-MFJ-D01 but my low idling problem came back a few weeks later. I replaced my IACV again, this time using 2017 part number 16431-MGZ-D01 and I have not encountered any low idling problem for more than a year now. Anyone know why Honda changed IACV part number from 2017 onwards when the throttle body part number remained the same for all CB1100 models?

Did you do the work yourself or your local Honda dealership. Mine is at a standstill. I still cant figure out how to remove the forward airbox attached to the throttle body. Once the 7 screws are removed there is just no room to slide the rear half out between the frame, and the other half attached to the throttle body. It's also interesting to note that they changed the part number. Something a local shop had asked me when I was in picking their brains on any ideas how they would go about doing removing that forward section, if Honda changed or updated that part # They haven't worked on a CB1100, nor would they take mine on as of right now,because it's in pieces. I'll be back at it tomorrow or Sunday.

Interesting as the part number for the 2014 is still showing as 16430-MFJ-D01 which suggests Honda has not updated it.

I wish I would have known about an updated part#. I'm hoping I have the same luck as other users and this cures it.
