Dyno jet auto tune
#5
Just saw this post.

Autotune is great.

Yea- you need to have a larger bung welded in the exhaust, and you need a laptop or PC.

You set the target table for what A/F you want at each RPM and throttle position.

Then go ride- and the bike makes a suggested trim table- adding or removing fuel in each spot if needed- and IF you hit that spot during your ride.

You then can modify that trim table if you want- or just apply it as is if you think it is good.

That's it. Then go ride again.

The hardest part is trying to hit every RPM at every throttle position. It takes several rides to bring it to where you will want it.

I bought the Dynojet POD dash display to I can see the info as I ride. Very versatile on what data it can show.

For reference- the maps Dynojet supplies for the PCV are just a target of 13.2 across the board.

I have mine set down to 13, 12.9, 12.8 as the throttle position increases as well as the RPM increases.

Even with those settings in the autotune- the tailpipe sniffer showed the bike a bit leaner I would like from 6500 to redline at the last dyno. I'm going to watch the injector duty cycle next time.

Once I get my dyno setup finished, I will have a LOT more info / data to share since I can see more & adjust a LOT better while stationary. I'll be reading direct off the PCV instead of a tailpipe sniffer.
