Based on the above info, I assume you either have EX or DLX
Using a rag, you can also block one muffler and then the other for a few seconds and listen to see if the noise changes. Also, is there any difference when the engine is cold vs hot, lower or highr engine rpm??
@pekingduck......mechanics stethescope, or a long screwdriver with your ear to the handle end, the tip moving along the exhaust.. This is an excellent and professional method for determining the source of noise.

Took it for a ride still couldn’t get the sound to come out.
Cold the noise isn’t happening, only when the bike seems to be good and hot (after 90 minutes of riding)
Tried cold up to 4k - noise. Rode for 5 minutes same thing no noise.
Maybe I’m losing my mind.
Took off the mufflers, tried that out too. No noises whatsoever. Tried banging on the muffler to knock anything loose / listen to noises - nothing.

12.3-12.4 is ok. I got lithium from auto zone for it (NOCO) for not much money, only because they had it in stock, think it was 120? not really a fan but its been flawless so far.
Awesome ty for the recommendation wasn’t sure if lithium’s were alright read in a different post not to use so no clue.
Started the bike ride for 5 minutes tried to start again but nothing. (Was fully charged) Charged again started up several times no issues. Tested the voltage when cranking last night and that’s when it wouldn’t start again. Going to try another crank test today see what happens.
Will do - the only time I’ve noticed rhe noise is after riding a long period, sitting in neutral at home then revving to 3-4k.

As far as the battery, it looks like the OEM Yuasa and the Yuasa replacement are lasting about 5-6 years, about average. I have found that the cheaper Amazon batteries work as well, and cost a fraction of Yuasa price. And no real advantage to be had from lithium ion.

The rattle isn’t all that bad just kind of annoying knowing that it could make the bike sound like cuss. Took the mufflers off and damn I prefer that so much.
Heat shield are the pieces attached to the muffler/exhaust portion under the engine? The right side was a titch easy to unscrew so we hope that’s it but never really thought that would be the cause due to the 2 sections of rubber in between everything.
I’ll report back after more of a ride now that today is nicer. Gotta throw those mufflers back on
Appreciate all the help. I know it’s not a huge issue but it’s an issue that’s constantly popping up in the back of my mind. Typically like to take care of these annoying issues.
Who knows if this is the issue might just keep the mufflers off and take off the center stand or create a shim of sorts to keep it off the chain
