I believe (not confirmed) Honda have discontinued them here. I find it amazing that the Triumph Bonneville remains one of our best selling naked bikes and has done for years yet Honda cant sell the CB.
They has however to my knowledge been virtually no advertising done for the model, very little in the way of accessories offered (unlike the Triumph) and initially at least a $14990 price tag. Our bikes also come with plain painted engines no stripes a low seat and no ABS. But we do get the fabulous blue ones!
The retro CB1300 was also a poor seller here. I read on the UK Forum, dont know if its true, that 150 bikes were imported to the UK and that is all they will get.
Maybe Honda never intended the bike to be a volume seller, although you would think to develop an air cooled motor in a specific frame with an array of unique parts (instruments guards etc) they would be out to move plenty of them
It is a bit of a mystery, although I've yet to hear of any kind of sales figures for the Japanese market which it was originally developed for.
