I took her a ride on the CB and she found the seat too small, the pegs too high and small, and with no trunk she felt insecure. When she first started riding with me in 1973 we toured 2 up on bikes like an RD 350 or a TX 650. Your expectations of comfort change over time. At 21 she would not have complained about the CB, at 61 it no longer fits her idea of comfort.
How true. My wife passed away 5 years back so my only passenger (50% of the time) is my 12 year old daughter. She hates the goldwing 'cause it's way too comfortable and quiet. She loves the CB 'cause it's open, upright, and feels more like a real motorcycle with wind in the face. Though she does complain of discomfort after about an hour's ride. She feels equally the same with our CBR500R bike.
