Similar to what others have said, almost any motorcycle will do fine in the rain if you ride it correctly. My first unexpected downpour on the CB happened on my second ride. With the new tires still having the mold-release film on them, I was very, extra, ridiculously careful. Got home safe though, without a scratch 
Two things in the rain that I noticed on the CB that I didn't notice on my previous bikes:
- The peg location seems to be in the direct line of where the front tire sprays away the water. My boots got soaked very quickly.
- Water seems to run down the tank and directly into your lap. I walked into my house looking like I pissed my pants!
