I've ridden a Ducati Diavel (loved it and am buying next June) and my XR is in the process of getting a 110 hp engine package done to it but the CB is not what I'd call slow or boring. I'm not a top speed guy. I'm more a fan of acceleration and this has nothing to be ashamed of in that department. Plus it has an intangible character that bikes like the ZX14 or S1000rr just can't match. They are soulless husks that without their performance, would be like any other sport bike draped in plastic and bright colours. I did thoroughly enjoy the CB1000r however. I prefer it to the CBR1000RR which isn't fun below 100 mph.
