Here are the photos...finally. As I mentioned above, the Expo included several "mini-shows" of both vintage bikes and customs. The customs were mostly café bikes, which was a nice change from the usual V-Twin garbage.
As you can see from the photos, it's easy to see the "heritage" of our bike. Virtually every style component of the CB1100 appeared on one or more predecessor over the years. The headers from the CB400, the tank from an 80's CB series, etc. Of course the true "Granddad" is the original CB750; everything from the gauges to the way the engine hangs out from the sides comes straight from the late '60's. Very cool stuff.
