I've had a lot of bikes over the years, naked and otherwise, and since I've had my 1100 I've thought that the wind noise was not that bad (without earplugs), but I dismissed it as my imagination. Well, I stumbled onto something the other day: I was riding along and I stretched my shoulders by moving my head and upper body towards the headlight maybe a foot and the wind noise increased noticeably. I realize that the mirrors might be making it worse because my head was almost between them, but I'm wondering if the instrument panel is contributing somewhat to the lack of wind noise? I got my Concours 14 out and put the windshield all the way down and it seems noisier that my CB!
