If you've got an issue with water build up, ethanol is actually a fuel system drier. Just about all of the commercially available fuel system driers are alcohol based.

I run a can of seafoam through both bikes twice a year to keep the fuel systems clean. It's worked well on the CB750. Seventeen years and the carbs have never been off the bike (and they still work like new).

If you are trying to remove water from the fuel system, there is a difference that should be noted in the various fuel dryers out there. Some contain Methyl Alcohol while others contain Isopropyl Alcohol. The Methtyl type simply separates the water from the fuel and holds it in suspension. The Isopropyl type actually allows the fuel and water the mix so the water is burned along with the fuel to remove it from the tank. You want to look for the Isopropyl alcohol fuel dyers. Good for winter months if you are trying to prevent water from freezing in the tank or fuel lines. These products are not to be confused with fuel stabilizers like Stabil. Personally, I run the Starton fuel additive in my bike and that is it. My cars are a different story. I run Iso Heet in the red bottle (Isopropyl) once per month for water control and run BG44K every 7500 mi to control carbon deposits on the valves and pistons. Plan to put some 44K in my CB at around 3000 for carbon buildup just for piece of mind.
