"it feels heavy" is not the same as the weight of the bike. I always feel the weight on an angle during abrupt stop while the steering was at an angle. some bikes that are much heavier feel light when I rock the bike side to side. It might be my own imagination, it feels real at 0 MPH
the BMW R1200R feel MUCH lighter even it is only 30 lbs lighter, might be the center of gravity is lower. for comparison, you should try both bike.
