I think the 1100 is kinda deceptive....Sitting on it it feels narrow and light.....but just stand back and look at it....there is a lot of top end on that engine.....and as some have stated....it has a pretty high center of gravity because of that. My wife and i were putting at a bike rally one night and i was doing a little u turn on some loose gravel at almost a stand still .....the bike got a little more past off center than i wanted and i couldn't believe how heavy it felt.... of course i had my hand on the front break as that was going on and the front end was trying to wash out ...i couldn't let go of the break because i was tying to pull it back up to center and almost dropped it.....Yes adrenaline and embarrassment saved the day! (was not dropping a Honda surrounded by 6000 Harley's!!) My right shoulder still hurts! lol!
