Learn your bike, get out on a back road where it is safe and SAFELY get a feel for how your bike handles in different situations. I rode a CL350 off road on old logging roads when I was a teenager and really learned bike control and weight transfer before my Dad let me on the road. Always expect the unexpected, leave yourself a way out.
