NEW 2014: CB 1100, CB 1100 EX

I started a tread - Why I like Motorcyles - on a Political forum where
they have many topics.
I explained that I might not bee to upset if the CB 1100 isn't
really popular.because of exclusivity.I like Owning a bike that is
seldom seen.That eventually became the case with the Honda Rune.
It was produced for just 2 years.I think the goal was originally that every
Honda dealer would get one.I'm still not sure what the production number
ended up.I heard a thousand.I know my Dealer ended up getting 3.
I got the very first one with a $ 500 deposit.I was 3rd in line.But
the very first model to hit my dealership was the lower priced model with
standard wheels { as opposed to the optional double chromed wheels }.
So I got bumped up to first.
I also bought years earlier the first run of the VTX 1800 when it came
out in spring of that year.I think I got the 3rd VTX 1800 at my dealership.
Loved that bike.It had huge torque and about the best roll-on in top
gear of any crusier up to that time.Plus the VTX was fabulous in straight
line ability.I remember once getting caught in a summer rain storm with no
helmut just my eye glasses.I drove rock steady in pounding rain for like
30 minutes at about 50 mph. { the rain was stinging my face } on a straight
stretch all the way home.I used one hand most of the time to help wipe
the rain from my face.I eventually got the very expensive HardKrome
Sideburners exhaust { $ 599 } which looked awesome.I dialed them in with
a new Digital device { techlusion } that was smaller and supposedly better than
the power commander at the time.I eventually called Techlusion to talk
to a rep about how best to use the unit.I ended up talking to the Inventor
of the unit.
