I once worked in a large multi line dealer and it was the F & I guy who was in charge of selling extended warranties . It was one way for
his dept. to make a profit. He sold a lot but hardly ever to new Honda owners. He often was the butt of a lot of jokes about trying to sell to new Honda owners. His office had windows that you could see in so you could make faces etc..
Really fun times.
