Leaving Saranac Lake without filling up was a mistake. But the station I usually use closed up. Weird. Anyhoo, made it to Tupper Lake on fumes. This on a road with trees and not much else. Its a busy road, but would not have been a fun place to strand in the dark and cold. My gauge was blinking, don't know how much it took. Getting an MSR can for my next long trip. I just want a bigger tank.
