My CB100 has done around 6400 kms (4000 miles). I bought it second hand at around 1300 miles and the pipes were already discoloured. I don't think they've got much worse. I've thought about cleaning them—there's plenty of advice on this site about how to do it well—but I suspect it will become a never-ending chore. I like the bike to be clean, but I'm not obsessive, and I'm a bit lazy to boot. Like Pterodactyl, I refuse to be a slave to the bike's beauty.
I guess I should add that I don't ride the bike hard. It still gets damned hot though.
I am, though, full of admiration for all of you who keep their headers looking so good. It's a damned shame the early CB100s didn't have double-walled pipes.

That's cool, this was the first very good picture that I had seen that the pipes wasn't shined up, it's has a nice even color, as I mentioned earlier I've only have about 20 miles on mine (damn winter) I would have freaked if you had said it only had a couple hundred miles on it, that why I asked, unfortunately my OCD will not let it go that far. So in a sense I admire you that you can let it go.
