Believe me I researched this bike for 3 years, and ordered it before my dealer even knew it was available. Most of us that desired the bike figured this might be a one shot deal and like Rboe said a one year model. It was discussed at length here.
Believe me had i know or had an inkling that there would be an upgraded model only 1 year later, I'd have waited. Then I would have had a choice, the original sporty model or the upgraded model.
I feel your pain! I waited for the possibility of a black model but since the new black model is too black, I'm going to paint a DLX anyway. But, now I'm REALLY glade I waited. Black or not, the new Deluxe is well worth the wait. I can imagine how discouraging it must be to have such a beautiful carrot dangling in front of you after already buying an almost perfect bike that you really like. If I were in your position, the upgrades would be just enough to push me over the top and force me to take the hit and trade into the new model. I can certainly see why you ordered one. It would be interesting to know how many people feel the same way and see how many low mileage 2013's will be for sale!
