I just might change the front sprocket to lower engine rev and have a perfect bike. first gear of the CB is low, one more tooth means nothing.

My plan too, the only new feature on the 2014 models that interests me at all is the 6th gear. I do not like spokes, and as far as the exhaust, either one is good, I prefer the 4 into 1 personally, but that is just me. Frankly, at some point, I will probably have an aftermarket exhaust of some sort anyway, so it's a wash. I like the seat just the way it is, thank you, I am 5'8" tall and I like the way it sits lower to the ground, the new seat is taller, that is a minus for me.
We are all different, I bought my 2013 because I LIKE it. If the 2014 variants had come out in 2013, along with the present model, and they were all in the showroom next to each other, I would head straight to the present model (2013), and say, "they all look great, but this is the one I want", I would then purchase it, be on my way, and not look back.
This bike is everything I was hoping for, and more. I absolutely enjoy every ride. Maybe I am in the minority in this string, but this bike sometimes feels like Mr. Honda made it just for me. So no, they did not fail at anything with this bike.
In about three years, when the bike is paid off, I might look around and see if I want something new, until then, I am riding it, enjoying it, and looking forward to many years of fun. As Don Henley says in that song, "Don't look back, you can never look back".
I'm not looking back
Cheers! Ride on
