Interesting thread. I was actually going to start one that talks about the value of our bikes but i see that would be useless at this point. The market varies of course depending on where you are at but down here in Houston the current trade value would be about 5-5.5k. The dealer would retail the bike around 7500.00. Most dealers want about 2-2.5k buffer on most of there used units. I just got off the phone with one of my honda dealers and asked if the 14ex was coming state side and he stated he asked the honda Rep that very same question about a month ago and the rep said NO.I am a little dissapointed that the value of our bikes have dropped as much as it has. This is a niche bike. A very cool niche bike but one none the less. I think Honda over estimated the potential sales of this bike in the U.S. market. I recently did a search in cycle trader within a 100 mile radius of my zip and about 10 new ones popped up. The dealer i just talked to said there still quite a few available in honda's wherehouse. I dont think the 14ex will be here anytime soon so i would enjoy this great machine as it is and what it was meant for. Plus,there is so much you can do personalize it. You can cafe it,set it up for light touring or commuting with windshields and bags or whatever works for you. Its all good. Just post pics so we can see all your upgrades.
