Header Pipe Discoloration - Possible Solution

It's a losing battle with SS pipes. My Supertrapp header does the same thing. I used to clean it once a week with a special polish. The results were beautiful shiney pipes for all of a few days (max). Now I've come to appreciate the golden hue of stainless. In the end, they won't rust (easily). Chrome, on the other hand, will pit on the outside, and rot-out on the inside. Chrome is also something everybody wants to keep mirror shiney... a real labour of love. No thanks.
