This forum has been up for almost 11 months now. In that period of time, a total of five threads have been locked, one of which was at the request of the original poster in the classifieds section.
I would add that the biggest moderation effort comes from forum members moderating themselves (thanks all). I consider myself a fairly nice guy but I can tell you that in person, around those that know me well, I'm certainly far more sarcastic than I allow myself to be here. That kind of thing just doesn't translate as well online as it does in person so I try to filter myself accordingly. Basically, I do my best to follow the example set by most of the members here.
