I've always been a died in the wool naked bike man, originally, I was not going to put a screen on mine. We always seem to have strong winds here where I live, and the freeways are frequently elevated, and this just makes the winds harder. I rode without a screen for a couple of months, but I felt like a human parachute on the freeway. At 70+ mph I was sometimes straining to hold on. I decided to get a detachable screen for road trips, and to leave the bike naked when just riding around. After getting the screen, I still prefer the looks of the bike without it, but I have to admit that the ride has been greatly improved, particularly at highway speeds. At this point, I rarely take the screen off.
