Lots and lots of bikes are sold within a year of purchase. For many it's moving UP for some like me it's moving DOWN. Rarely does it indicate a problem with the machine.
Some folks buy motorcycles and find there are disadvantages to a motorcycle. (No need to get into the specifics of that) but I believe almost every dealership will have at least a couple of almost new/used bikes in their showrooms. At least that's been my experience.
