I didn't buy my bike from my local Honda dealer but buying oil, filters and other such things from them gives me a chance to get to know the people there. I'm thinking this is useful for when I might need service, plus it's always fun to look at the new bikes.
I don't use the dealership as a free place to try stuff out knowing I'm going to buy it online later, since if I worked there I would really hate that.
