I rode both at the dealer. The 1000R was the one I thought I wanted but the ride was really stiff and I felt every little ripple in the road. The bars were at an odd angle that made my shoulders tired quickly. The CB11 I took out and immediately felt at home on, so much so that in my ten mile test loop that included a highway run between exits, I took a side road just before pulling back into the dealer so I could open her up more in each gear and ride some twisties. I am 53 so the CB11 is a better fit for these old bones. It was nice and relaxing just as former MotoGP rider Tady Okada said it was in his video test ride.
