I'd recommend going with a new silver colour for all the parts. I've had a lot of painting done on my bikes, and I've had a mixed bag of results. Even the best painters can have a tough time perfectly matching the colours of parts. And when they're right up next to each other like a tank and side cover, you're going to notice that. The few extra dollars to have those small little covers painted will be well worth it!

(P.S. And yes, Ridem is not pulling your leg - any good automotive paint and supply shop will have one of those scanners to help match paint when a code number isn't available. )
