Good question. Academic, for my purposes, but I would expect this bike will take the normal plunge during the first few years and then stabilize at around $5k+ at 5 years. It all depends though. The latest CycleWorld has a bunch of standards/nakeds reviewed. If this sort of bike becomes popular, you may see more "classic" standards and upgrades to the CB.
If the market coalesces around standard bikes due to practicality as well as superbike and cruiser fatigue, then you'll see more demand for clean used units.
Can't speak for other geographies, but the motorcycle market in the states is a toy market. That's how the nostalgia trade - with HD and now Indian - gets traction. The CB, practical as it is, lines up nicely with that mentality. So does the Bonneville and others.
