Gheil, don't know if this is the case for you or not, but most people slouch when the ride, putting excessive pressure on their lower backs. They need to tighten/ strengthen their core. Grip the bike with their knees, sit up straight and have a light grip on the bars with slightly bent elbows, and let their core be the foundation for their riding posture.
