cleaned headers

I have had my bike for 4 and a half months, 8,000 miles. I ride 66 miles 5 or 6 days a week. I have ridden in thunderstorms, rain and fog on many occasions. I usually dont worry about my headers being gold colored. I just thought I would try the pontoon acid because it sounds very similar to the Optiglanz product. I am assuming the Optiglanz probably contains some form of acid if it tells you to wear gloves and avoid overspray. If I decide to try it again later, I will just wipe the acid on with a sponge and wash it off with water, no overspray to get on vulnerable parts. I am not promoting the use of acid on the pipes, just tried it mainly out of curiosity.
