I had the CB500X before I bought the CB1100, great bike. I did 6000 miles in 12 months including a trip to Germany and one to Spain. The bike was much faster than I expected it to be and it kept pace with bigger bikes but you need to use the gears to do it, but I like riding on the rev counter. Handling is excellent and I'm 6'3" and I had plenty of room. The only reason I sold it is that I not a lover of plastic. I saw the CB1100 when I bought the 500 but I didn't want to pay the price. It all worked out well because the 6 speed model was available by the time I wanted to swap.
