You can buy a 14 DLX for about $10,500. Especially at this time of year. I wanted the dual exhaust, 6 speed , red side covers and ABS. This will sound arrogant, but how much you spend will be forgotten shortly after you buy the bike you REALLY want. It only hurts for a short time, but you'll be riding the bike for years. And it gets easier if you finance the bike because its not out of your pocket all at once, just a little more each month. Make the decision based on what you want, not how much difference there is in the price.
That said, only you can decide what you want to look at in the garage. Aside from the 6th gear, the bikes are fundamentally the same. They just look a little different. I like two mufflers, someone else likes a single. A good friend told me " I has to be passion ". This is not an analytical decision. Which one turns you on. BUY IT !! Rocket
