I'd have to echo ClassicVW's comments - I prefer the looks of the '13 and haven't felt the need for a 6th gear. That sounds like a good price for a new '13.
There are a number of small changes that differentiate the 2, I think you've just got to determine whether the cost differential is justified by those extra bits.
