My wife rode pillion from San Diego to Los Angeles and along the Angeles Crest Highway and back. In total, around six hours in one day. Unfortunately, that proved to be a bit much for her. Her knee hurt and she felt as if she was falling off the back of the seat. Photos taken along the route show her to be very much at the seat's edge. A backrest would have done much to make her feel more comfortable. Still, the problems with her knee and feeling rather cramped behind me would likely persist. I'm not a particularly big guy - 5'8 and 195 - and she's rather petite. All 5'2 of her. I think for short trips around town, the CB will get the job done nicely with two people on board. Longer excursions and I would have to agree that another type of motorcycle would probably be best.
