The CB with its flat seat is not a bad two up bike. The so called old school bikes all had flat seats where the passenger was the same height as the rider (for the most part) We all rode two up with much smaller CC bikes back in the day, there is plenty of torque so that not in issue.
Any welder can fabricate and design a backrest to fit the CB and you would just need to chrome it and find a cover to match. Much cheaper than selling and buying.
Look at the sport tourer, especially the cruiser, the both have a taller seat in the rear, most want to push the passenger forward into the rider.
If you want to ride two up there's really only a few options and bikes that are made for both rider and passenger to be comfortable.
