If you want a cheap, comfortable, capable bagger touring bike, did you ever look at the Honda NT700V? It's the other bike in my garage. Also not exported to the U.S. any longer. There are still new 2010 and 2011 models around, but the way to go is a barely used example. Crazy low prices in like the $4,000-$5,000 range.

Yep, in fact I did take a good look at those when they first came out a few years ago and thought they looked really nice. The hangup for me was the 600 cc engine and gears, just a bit limited if I remember correctly. I'm sure it is another bullet-proof Honda which is a trait I like.
