I've got to be honest with you guys, My "CB1100 life" has become very mundane as of late. The CB gets pulled out of the garage for the daily commute and that's about it these days. I take good care of it of course but it always seems like it is in need of a washing. I suppose to some degree that's bound to happen around here this time of the year. But it's also a result of other things going on in my life that are demanding my time. I'm sure that balance will change, but for now I read of the CB1100 adventures you all are sharing on a daily basis with just a tinge of envy.
On the other hand this thread is awesome as it has reminded me of why I started this forum in the first place. I'm really happy for everyone that has benefitted from this community. If this forum has in some way made the CB ownership experience even better for anyone out there then that's just icing on the cake.
It's been a while now, but more than once I've gone back to the CB1100 thread on the ADVrider forum and re-read the posts that myself and others made as we waited for news about whether or not CB1100 would arrive in the states, followed by waiting for actual CB1100s to arrive, finally followed by actual CB1100 ownership stories which were the best. This of course has played out time and again here on the forum and I still find myself chuckling a bit every time someone reports with great enthusiasm about picking up their new, or new-to-them CB1100. In general, I believe that to some degree motorcycles truly bring out the inner child in all of us. Perhaps for many of us, that is even more so when it comes to the CB1100 and the pure joy that it delivers.
