If color is that important...I'd get the black and save the $$$ and then get a paint job! Or, spend money at samuaririder and get a red gas tank; you can probably put a good paint job on the side trim panels.
Actually, that would be the way to go for me. I like the black engine; the one-side exhaust pipe is fine and practical. But black-on-black is monotonous.
AND...as it happened, some butt-head sat on my bike while I was in the County Office Building (parked opposite a bus shelter on a not-so-busy cul-de-sac). In doing so, a coat zipper or something heaver left a DEEP ding at the top base of the tank - where the seat meets the tank. I have nothing that would have done that and I'd have remembered it if it did.
So I have to get that repaired before it rusts. Or...buy a red gas tank! Red on black...YES!!!
