My '13 standard has the smaller tank, so I can go approx 145 miles before the fuel gauge starts to blink that I need gas soon. My average MPG is around 48, but I've gotten as high as 52mpg on our Rocky Mtn. "premium" 91 octane. Bought one of those MSR backpacker fuel canisters for emergency fuel on road trips. Hope I never need to use it.
Can some knowledgeable member comment on this? What would happen if the CB ran out of petrol? Could you just tip some into the tank, start up and take off again? Or would something else be required?
