Henrik, we have surmised that the limiter on the CB1100 is just a continuation of the limit for the Japanese domestic market where all bike incl the 200 hp ones are limited to 180 kmph or 112 mph.
I further imagine Honda knowing the target market for the CB which is about 70 % riders over 46 years old and the nature of the ride the bike was designed for simply figured 112 mph was plenty.
