I went 80 miles south to buy mine for two reasons....inventory selection and they would let me ride them.
I walked into Garland Motor Sports in hopkinsville kentucky knowing they had both a 2014 CB1000R and a 2014 CB1100 Std, both in black AND they would let me ride them BEFORE I bought them.
I rode the CB1000R first. I told the sales man, that unless something really didn't feel right, this is the one I'm taking home. It had all the modern techy tricks plus tons of horse power...very nice bike....I was sure it was mine. After riding it out to the interstate up to one exit and back, it just didn't fit my old fat body very well. I felt like I was sitting on top of the gas tank.
Then I rode the CB1100...instantly felt right at home...had enough power for anything I needed to be doing. So that is the one I brought home, been happy ever since!
