APRS on your bike
#12
Rboe, very cool! A lot of guys here at work (Motorola) run APRS in their vehicles. Yours is the first one I've seen on a bike-nice job. Clap

Since you are mounting in a topcase and have plenty of room, you can also consider upgrading to a mobile unit. I have a Yaesu in my truck that does all the same stuff (although I haven't added APRS yet), but one thing I really like is that the mobile unit itself acts as a repeater for a handheld, so you have the high power off the vehicle/bike, and connect to it using the handheld when on foot which effectively gives you full transmit power when using either the mobile unit or the handheld.
