I usually find that the easiest and cheapest way to make any bike faster is to learn how to ride properly. Obviously on a track if you know how to ride properly you will be able to lap faster on any modern sporty bike than with the CB1100, but on public roads it is a different ball game. I rarely struggle to keep up with most riders on the mountain roads in my area regardless of what they are riding.
Is my CB slower than my previous bike? Yes! Is the CB a slow bike? No, not in my opinion.
